In the end all the following did was disappoint… shame.
11. The re-issue of the STAR WARS series on BLU RAY - George Lucas completely destroyed the genius of the original by adding extra scenes and sounds effects!
10. John Mayer & Adele’s singing careers put in jeopardy as they both had to endure throat surgery.
9. The movie “Your Highness” which had Natalie Portman and James Franco in it but still managed to suck big time!
8. The world moved deeper into recession.
7. Facebook’s new real-time ticker (93% of users wanted to revert back to the old Facebook after just 1 week!)
6. The final season of “Entourage” happened in 2011 – after 8 seasons! We expected more…what we got was pretty much the writers & actors ‘phoning it in’.
5. Ashton Kutcher taking over from Charlie Sheen on “2 ½ men”! Everyone expected so much more. What did show creators get? Super low ratings! So low, they might even have to bring Charlie back from the dead!
4. Metallica cancelling their concert in
3. X-factor USA lost one million viewers! And Cheryl Cole as a judge too! (Replacement Nicole Scherzinger hasn’t been satisfactory).

9. The Band Perry – with their hit single “If I Die Young” which was on the billboard top 100 for almost the entire year.
8. Rebecca Black: the most annoying song of the year… but now everyone knows her name & she’s even starred in a Katy Perry video.

5. Foster The People: went from obscurity to one of the hottest indie bands around in 2011 with “Pumped Up Kicks”…they then cemented their superstar status with the follow up single “Helena Beat”
4. Adele – she just goes from strength to strength
3. The Kardashians: hate to say it, but the Kardashian brand made 65 million bucks this year, so they must be doing something right!
2. Andrew Garfield: broke out in “Social Network”, & is going to be the next big thing in the new “Spiderman” movie.
1. Emma Stone: things just got better for Emma in 2011…she starred in many hit films including “The Help”, and “Crazy, Stupid Love”…and she’s gonna get even bigger next year with the new “Superman” movie as well!
